There’s nowhere to hide when you bin a new Lamborghini Huracán Spyder

Lamborghini has finally cut the head off its Huracán. Aptly unveiled at the 2016 Los Angeles Motor Show the new available-in-January-2017 Huracán Spyder offers a wind-in-your-hair supercar driving experience tailormade for the most gratuitous posers of the Hollywood elite. It will also offer us rabble the chance to see the bloodshot whites of their terrified eyes when they inevitably run out of talent around some swooping waterfront boulevard.

For with the electric fabric soft-top safely stowed (an action that takes a mere 17-seconds at speeds of up to 50km/h) the lenses of our smartphones will be able to clearly distinguish who’s sat behind the steering wheel when it all goes tits-up. And it enevitably will because the 319km/h, 2.6kg/hp Huracán Spyder is not a car to be messed around with it sends all of its 426 angry Italian kilowatts directly to the rear wheels.

Yep, unlike in the Audi R8 there’s no sissy all-wheel-drive system here to help keep you from slamming into roadside furniture. You need to rely on your skill alone – especially if you turn off all the driver aids. So, Justin “Bugatti Breaker” Bieber, think long and hard before you hand over that suitcase full of cash. Because in a Huracán Spyder there’s nowhere to hide. – Thomas Falkiner
