What is your favourite car at the moment?
It’s a Levante which is the Maserati SUV. I think it’s about to be launched in South Africa. It looks like it’s going to be an interesting inclusion to the market. It’s going to be competing against the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and the Range Rover. If I had one, it would either be black or maroon.
Which cars that you’ve owned in the past hold a special space in your heart?
I owned the past three models of the Porsche Boxster, a black Range Rover Sport and a red Aston Martin Vantage with black interior and red stitching.
What was your favourite car when you were growing up?
A gusheshe, the BMW 325is. I always wanted to own one and when I started working I wanted to fulfil that childhood dream. I almost had one — I had a BMW 325i that I kitted out to look like a 325is. It had a cream leather interior, 16-inch Alpina rims and low-profile tyres.
Would you drive a vintage car?
Yes, I’m actually in the market for a vintage car. I like the old Mercedes-Benz SL 500s and there’s an old school BMW that I like, the BMW 333i. It’s such a beautiful car. I’d definitely love to own one.
What are you driving at the moment?
I’m currently driving a Mofaya company car which is a BMW X1. I got rid of all three of my cars and a property so that I can invest in my business [Mofaya].
Would you own a motorbike?
No, I’m not really into motorbikes.
What are listening to in your car at the moment?
Right now I’m listening to the new Meek Mill, AKA’s latest singles, the new Amanda Black and Nathi. I’ve been listening to a quite a variety of music including some Tupac and Zola. I’ve also been listening to my latest single with Zahara called Ndingubani.
If you were to go on a road trip, which car would you go in and who would you go with?
I would go in a Maserati Levante or a Mercedes-AMG G63 and I would definitely go with my three-year-old daughter. – Kenzy Mohapi
