Lexus has made subtle revisions to three models in their line-up.
The Lexus CT 200h, which is the most affordable model in the Lexus range, is already well endowed but in its latest guise, boasts even more kit. This hatchback now features a reverse camera, cruise control, Lexus display audio with 10-speakers sound, rotary-style Lexus Remote Touch (EMVN) controller and rain-sensing wipers.
Following the CT, is the Lexus ES. Espousing the “more is more” maxim, this amply equipped saloon was the recipient of a significant safety feature in the form of Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA).
This feature is particularly useful when reversing, for instance, in a busy car park. The RCTA function uses the Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) radar to detect vehicles approaching the difficult-to-see area behind the vehicle. When a vehicle is detected, RCTA alerts you with a visual display in the door mirrors and a buzzer.
The IS sports sedan benefits from a rear monitor and an upgraded audio system, standard on the E grade model. Cosmetic changes include the adoption of LED fog lamps for E and EX variants.
Justin Ryan, General Manager of Lexus South Africa, said that the updates to CT, ES and IS models enhance usability and add significant value to an already compelling package.
The CT E model can be purchased from R424 200. The IS 350 ranges from R499 900 to R605 900. The ES 250 EX model is R471 800 and the ES 300h EX model starts at R557 300.
