You would think that in a world where anything green is in and conspicuous consumption is out, there would be no place for a car like the Mercedes G-wagon. But you’d be wrong. In fact, it occupies a very special place in the upper motoring echelons where practicality and logic are of little or no importance. And if you must talk of value for money most prospective buyers would probably tell you it’s a bargain.
