Porsche has broken the Nürburgring with their new 911 GT2 RS. With racing driver Lars Kern at the wheel, the most powerful 911 rocketed around the infamous Nürburgring Nordschleife in just 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds (an average speed of 184.11 km/h) – a new road-approved sports car record.
Riding atop Michelin Pilot Cup 2 tyres, the 1 470kg GT2 RS produces 515kW and 750Nm courtesy its 3.8-litre six-cylinder biturbo boxer engine. It will hit 100km/h in 2.8-seconds and top out at 340km/h. – Thomas Falkiner
